Juan E. Mejia serves as the President & CEO of Tyler Junior College, where he is approaching his 12th year of leadership, dedicated to advancing education and workforce development in East Texas. With a career in higher education that began in 1988, he played a pivotal role as a Founding Member of South Texas College, serving as Provost & Vice President for Academic Affairs for 20 years before transitioning to Tyler Junior College in 2013. Recognized for his contributions to education and community impact, he has received numerous accolades, including the Nelson Award from the Texas Association of Community Colleges and the CEO of the Year award from the American Association of Community College Trustees.
